主讲人简介：Martin Green，澳大利亚双院院士，澳大利亚新南威尔士大学教授，博导。现为澳大利亚先进光伏中心主任，澳大利亚科学院和工程院院士，国际电工委员会的委员，中科院一区期刊“Progress in Photovoltaics”执行主编。Martin Green教授致力于光伏科学和技术的研究，包括确定硅太阳能电池性能的基本极限，开创了“第三代”光伏领域，研究先进的光伏设备等领域，在过去的37年里保持了30年的硅太阳能电池效率的记录，被描述为太阳能光伏历史上的“十大里程碑”之一。获“优秀民生奖” （又称“另类诺贝尔奖”）及世界能源技术奖。出版专著15本，发表期刊会议论文1000余篇。
讲座内容：
Over the last decade, the cost of photovoltaic solar energy conversion has dropped very dramatically with solar photovoltaics “now the cheapest source of electricity in most countries” and “now offering some of the lowest cost electricity ever seen”, according to the International Energy Agency. However, improvements are in the pipeline that are leading to an era of “insanely cheap” solar power, within the coming decade.The developments leading to these cost reductions will be described as well as the pending improvements that will allow solar to resume on its trajectory to even lower future costs over the remainder of this decade.
